Many people have told me there is no such thing as an orange cardinal, but I've seen one and was not able to get a picture of it until yesterday! These are not the best pictures because they are through glass and were taken quick because it never stays around long, but, here it is! The Orange Cardinal.

I was finally able to capture these pictures of this adult femal cardinal in our back yard. She's been around for awhile but I've never had my camera when she comes to visit....until now. I found out that if a cardinal has a black bill, it is a juvenile, and an orange bill is an adult.

This baby bird sat on this pail handle for over 20 minutes just cheeping away. He was so fluffy.

I was finally able to capture a photo of this young pileated woodpecker who has been cutting down the big pine branches in my front yard. This branch is going to be falling soon.
